Bhav has been very supportive from the beginning, when I was referred for a stapedectomy. Before, during and after the operation, he has been always available to address any concerns and answer any questions I might have had, so I could contact him at any time and he would respond really promptly - and I did have many questions, as I was anxious about the operation first and about the healing afterwards! So I can't thank Bhav enough for his listening, care and kindness, helping me understand what was happening and what to expect. I would definitely recommend him.

Mr Bhav Patel is very thorough and informative. I immediately felt comfortable in his hands. I felt that I my needs were understood and met. Mr Bhav Patel was able to give me the treatment I required to help with my hearing which had deteriorated a lot, by operating a stapedectomy on me. He looked after me during the whole procedure and the aftercare was great. I now have my hearing back and for that I am very grateful to Mr Bhav Patel.

I’m extremely happy that I got to see Dr. Patel who recommended me a stapes surgery when I was about to give up hope to have my hearing back. I was offered the surgery with a minimum waiting time, about three weeks, which is a hard-to-come-by blessing these days. The procedure itself was practically painless although it did take me a couple of weeks to come around from the anaesthesia. Now I have a great chunk of my hearing back and that has had a definite positive impact on my social and professional life. I would recommend this procedure to anyone with the same condition as mine without hesitation. I only wish that NHS doctors were allocated more time per patient and were not forced to rush through appointments. Also it would be great if GPS were more aware of the availability of this procedure. It took me 15 years to get past my GP to a proper otolaryngologist.

After the first right ear hearing loss at the age of 35 life was liveable and hearing loss not so much of an issue and the need for the stapedectomy operation. I delayed the first operation as to my right ear as it was not urgent as my hearing in my left ear was ok , it also gave me a opportunity to research the problem and doctors who are able to carry out the procedure, it was only till my left ear had the same issue I came across Jeremy Lavy and his team of surgeons , Bhav Patel on my first meeting went through the procedure and risks made me feel at ease and any hesitation in getting the operation done ! After the meeting I was happy to have surgery and am extremely happy with the result .
